Well, so much for community involvement in the design and construction of the trail network at Majura. At this stage it's estimated about 14 km of trail and 2 to 3 months of build time. I can't say too much at this stage but the tender process is in motion.
I got a one-liner a day or two ago, so my guess is its all moving at ACT government pace.I'm still awaiting an email reply in regards to helping out. Been weeks since I emailed them through the correct channels.

Professional trail builder are tendering for the contract. ACT government has proposed a draft layout but it will be up to the builders to designJust a quick question, but is it the ACT government master planning this or is there some professional trail building involvement ?
Would love to see the place used to it's full potential.

I was under the impression there was to be a main xc 14k's? loop constructed? As well as the dh trails, Or is that a separate contract going to tender?.Quick update from Majura Pines Trail Alliance - the volunteer group coordinating the rebuilding and maintenance of the trails at Majura.
Jindabyne Landscaping have been appointed as the contractor to construct the DH trails and the new beginner area. They start work on 19th January and aim to be finished in April.
Majura Pines Trail Alliance have held two maintenance days to tidy up Boy Wonder, the trail in the next compartment below and the upper trail across the Innabaanya compartment. We are currently planning our 2015 work scope and trail days. More details soon.
