Project and build days are ongoing. Check on here or facebook to get involved with the build days. The more people building, the quicker people can get riding :)

Thanks for letting me know. Are any sections of it open as yet, or ready to be "tested out"?

Cheers

Big rock roller is fun. Good to see things moving ahead out there.
How was the rock work over the tree and at the bottom of the roll looking? Only completed that last weekend so it may need some settling and fettling.

Didn't ride the tree before the rock roll. It's rideable, I was out there on my own and didn't feel like stuffing it up. The rock roll was fun though. Trails should be awesome if they remain a little rough and rugged. Too many boring sit down trails getting built these days.

Hi Everyone,
This months build day will be held THIS weekend, and will not infact be a build day. Rather we will be riding the trails we have built over the last 12 months, and then maybe have a bunnings style sausage sammitch at the end.

This is a great opportunity to socialise and enjoy the work we have done to date so please come along - bring your mates, your wife, husband, mum, (not your dog) and join us for fun filled morning of skids, wheelies and sausages.

Meet at the usual place around 0745, with the gates being locked just after 8. If you feel like riding more afterwards, feel free to park at Ansto and ride over as Kevin will boot everyone out around 12.

Kind Regards

Justin

First of all big thanks to Justin, Steve, Al & Pez, and all those involved in the building work so far. Apologies for my so far re my Saturday morning unavailability- but that looks to be changing soon so hopefully I can join you on the next one. What's the actual status with regard to the Sutherland Shire Council land trails- are they open or not (or is that a grey area?) and does anyone have any updates on what has happened thus far with regard to ANSTO and the legal agreement they were supposed to signing off too months ago?

Hey Jeff.

Greenlight on trails on Sutherland Shire Council managed lands that vollies have helped build. Please be mindful that council is actively rationalizing trails, so please respect any obvious trail closures (logs, brush matting, punji stick pits :))

Trails on both sides of the creek that volleys have built are open. Be good if more riders bedded in the new bits.

Trail alterations: some sections are tricky, might even need fine tuning, but please don't take it on yourself to fix something you don't like. contact ssorc@hotmail.com find them on facebook or post here with your suggestions and the builders will look at it. Pez and Justin have done a great job on the layout and they are more then happy to take on suggestions.

Legal agreements.
No news sorry, council have been trying to tee up a meeting but timing conflicts have been bad. The good news is that the majority of land claims are in and known. This has created planning challenges, but at least people know who owns what now. Reps are constantly in touch with council contacts, but just taking longer then we all want. Note: only covers council managed and ANSTO lands. There is no progress on Gandangara owned lands.

Sorry for the lack of updates.

Great work on the trail guys.

Any idea when it will be open to the public and people who did not contribute?

Apologies if this is posted elsewhere and obvious -

I used to ride up there before it was legal, how do I know what I can ride now? Is there a map or description anywhere? I checked the Sutherland Shire Council site but didn't see anything.
