well, I was thinking of buying a light bike to make up for it, should make me faster with the added muscle:amen:
Most dudes on here are guilty of spending thousands to drop 500 grams off their bike and you want to add 10kg body weight ?? :boink:
but the blood and brown is not mah scene:behindsofa:Are you suggesting he suck roids?
yeah but I have boxed as well, size never really slowed me downIn the immortal words of Jake the Muss:
I only bike 2 or 3 times a week, probs about 6 or so hours. As much as some people get bored in the gym I don't, there is always a competition going on in my mind, there are a couple of real body builders at the gym that I compete against even if they don't know it. They would be probs about 20 or 30 kg heavier than me so my goal is to trounce them in the next 6 months or so strenghtwise, it would be nice to be closer to their bodyweight though.do you do any cycling? running? don't you think your aim should be health and fitness, let your physique develop around the sports you do. gyms get pretty boring after a while.
I am a recreational powerlifter - 110kg with a PhD in strength and condition / physiology, none of those supplements work, nothing works that's legal other than protein supplementation (only until you meet your daily requirements), creatine and caffeine (reduces perception of exertion = more reps). Everything else is marketing crap to steal your money, all the pre / post workout shit is also just that, shit. D aspartic does not work above any other amino acid, its rate limited, having more in your system above normal levels does nothing. On a more seious note though, surely there are some bodybuilding mtbers out there who can tell me if they have had success with any legal supplements. D aspartic or any of those sort of things, maybe a basic program that you felt help get you over the plateau. If you don't want to get involved in this thread feel free to pm me, it seems that bodybuilding is sort of frowned upon on roto. I am not a professional cyclist ( not Cadell undercover ) so don't really feel adding muscular bulk will impact the fun of my riding
If you think you will get that respect using steroids, think again..
My goal is to become a strength/size gainer trainer for older people, pretty hard to do if you don't have the bulk to be respected for the job.
Thanks for sharing that info, I often wonder about training and nutrition, your post answered some questions I had.I am a recreational powerlifter - 110kg with a PhD in strength and condition / physiology, none of those supplements work, nothing works that's legal other than protein supplementation (only until you meet your daily requirements), creatine and caffeine (reduces perception of exertion = more reps). Plateaus are normal, and programing can overcome this, but diet is also very important in a plateau. I am not a fan of body building, mostly brain damaged idiots, but there's a few smart ones here and there. I much prefer performance / strength based training over aesthetic training. But regardless, resistance training is very, very healthy for a person, the injury rate (if done correctly) is almost zero, the health benefits, particularly metabolically and joint are excellent, with the only negative being central arterial stiffness - which as a bonus is completely attenuated by aerobic activity such as cycling.
Someone wants a ripped body when the wetsuit comes off...Thanks for sharing that info, I often wonder about training and nutrition, your post answered some questions I had.
Ha !!! Nudging 50 all I want to do is keep doing !!Someone wants a ripped body when the wetsuit comes off...
Thanks for sharing your expertise here! Trying to convince my patients of the benefits of resistance training is a source of daily frustration. :faint2:Plateaus are normal, and programing can overcome this, but diet is also very important in a plateau. cheers for that mate, thought they were just expensive crap. It can be our little secret  just don't tell any one :gossip:.If you think you will get that respect using steroids, think again.
Definitely no pictures, the Mrs was 'somewhat' comfortable with what happened. Eagle leather was the location, guy behind the counter was probably wacking off while watching... I don't know.Pics or it didn't happen.
And I recall the slow part of your name, is somewhat misleading, above average or competent mick doesn't sound quite as funny, and you where hitting all the jumps :thumb:not sure you want that Poodle - have met MWI - he is a big unit. I for one don't want to see it.
Thank you sir but after 11 months off the bike renovating and hanging out with my new daughter I am now ample and slow, mick. Not long till a comeback though :becky:Definitely no pictures, the Mrs was 'somewhat' comfortable with what happened. I wore a gimp mask once in a porno store. We were looking for a birthday present and I got bored...seems to me that the universal thing for those kind of stores is that the dude behind the counter is always going to be wierd.Definitely no pictures, the Mrs was 'somewhat' comfortable with what happened.
