Pointless new standards - name and shame the "innovators".

I'm assuming the hex down the guts in one of the photos is how the ball valve assembly is tightened on to the valve stem...?

Are muc off also selling wheel balance kits to offset these chunky ass valves?

They actually used this image lols.

Found this when BoBo'ing them earlier, looking for an actual price.

I like the idea of no valve core to get gummed up and stright though inflation to seat a tyre but if the price is stupid, just put up with 10c Ali presta cores and $2 valves.

I remove the core to inject or remove sealant already...
Takes 2 seconds to remove or install...

Muc-off will also want to sell you a proprietary pump for their valves.

But its universal :)
I think it may be a good thing, but knowing SRAM, I'm sure they are playing the long game with some new brake system in the works that will conveniently release after the universal mount is take up by enough brands.

THis is pretty much a repeat strategy of the xd hub. While the idea is good in theory, the practical application is they will be the only ones who can make a brake for that interface, meaning your bike is now locked to sram - not a good thing.
Yeah XD hub is OK then XDR but then Shimano makes microspline !!!!

Yeah this is exactly my point. 100% not Shimano's fault.

SRAM mades a xdd hub and freely licenses the hub to wheel manufacturers. However it holds the cassette patents to themselves meaning these things can only work with their cassettes. Shimano had no choice but to make their own freehub.

Same thing now with brakes. Imagine the interface is freely licensed to the frame namufacturers. Great. Only problem now is that SRAM holds the patent for the brake mount and only sram brakes work on that interface. Unlike a wheel that you can actually replace, this is actually madness. Your frame is now tied to a specific brake brand! In fairness, the patent filing looks like it still uses normal IS brake mounts, but you never know.
