I do. Marine grease is going to do the job, no need to go chasing other products.

Why the fuck are you greasing the handle bars? If you are using carbon bars you could justify carbon paste.

I put grease on all that sort of thing, even seat rails. Not in big thick heavy globs, it isn't butter! But they all get a sweet little smear.

Ah well I applied a seriously minute amount to the bolt area but that's it. I'll get some Rock n Roll Red Devil or Super Coat depending on which is most suitable.

Grease is fine. Just abit though, you’ll be right.

Because mating surfaces creak and grease stops that?
Also stops things seizing together, makes assembly and removal easier (stuck seatpost in a frame anyone?)

I would never ram my seat post in dry - But all you are inviting on your handlebars is that wonderful sandpaper of grit and grease on in around the bezels and joints

I'm with this guy, a little grease keeps things quiet and keeps water out. Never had anything slip.

I even put grease under my lock on grips and shifter mount.

Must have some pretty dodgy bars and stem if theres enough gaps for dirt to work it’s way in between the stem/steerer and faceplate/bars.
