What did you do TO / WITH / FOR your bike today!

The super rare weekday lunch ride.
Taking @Mr Crudley lead :)

Explored some old school single trail.

Lunch time rides FTW! I approve of this almost doppleganger fine trail that is not likely to kill you.

Although, I wonder if evil Halloween witches built that wooden branch teepee thing that is providing the bike lean.
Don't go alone at night unless you have someone else along side that would better to BBQ than yourself

FIFY

Did you wear your lycra or the movement restricting baggies 🤔

EDIT: Getting them cut ??? You own a ruler and hacksaw ?

480mm? I can fit some Onza bar ends too!

I wore just the Endura baggies, no liner! Felt fine although I wasn't riding that hard.

Yes, and no. Or a deburring tool although a file could work.

No Hacksaw, $4.98 at Bunnings.

It doesn't have to be a 100% straight cut, just as straight as you can make it. If its carbon, I use a wet cloth below the cut to catch the fibres while sawing it. Then give it a dress with a file.

Will save you taking your bike to a shop, leaving it there for a day or two then going back again and paying $30 for the job.

I wrap electrical tape around the spot where I'm going to cut the CF bars. That should help stopping the ends from getting chipped.

Not straight. Eye twitching starts :p

Get one of these bad boys wrap tape where you need to cut and straight as.

Very pro ;)

If I was getting paid to do it, yeah certainly. Managed up till now on fork steerers and handlebars by eye and using a 0.75mm cutting disc.

Gave mine a few tweaks today, swapped out the 50mm stem for a 40mm original to see if that helps with the hand pressure problems, if it’s still the same, my next idea is to try one of those 10 degree Funn stems. Also tweaked the fork sag as it seems harsh so I’ve gone to around 20% sag as Fox recommends, as it was around 17.5% so hopefully that helps as well. A couple of other tweaks as well and ready for a roll with my mate at the Wombat tomorrow.
