I was fine.Ooof - How'd you and the tree fare?

Then under full compression, my chain ring hit this:

Dang, I'm assuming you don't have a bash guard? Wonder if it would've held together with that sort of impact!
Fork is 170mm. 160mm at the rear.Wow. Certainly did! Pardon my ignorance if I should know this but what's the fork travel?
Yeah the weird thing is I’ve never dropped the chain or bashed it on something. Time to add more weight.Love it!!!
It's okay breaking kit when you're doing rad shit when it happens.
But on the otherhand, where the fuck is your bash guard?
Yeah, no guard. Hard to say may have just glanced off?Dang, I'm assuming you don't have a bash guard? Wonder if it would've held together with that sort of impact!
Time for a chain guide+taco?
Easier than giving up burrito’s and losing some chonk.
Funny stuff, but unfortunately may be necessary!@BT180 ... trudges off to add another 200g to the bike. With careful selection of said bash guard, he could hit the magic 19kg mark
Maybe I can find a steel one.I'm just here to say you need a bash guide.
Seeing as no one else mentioned it.
That's a lot of travel to case something so hard.. Or is it just a shitty landing area?Fork is 170mm. 160mm at the rear.

Yeah, real crappy landing as you can see above. Fork still had plenty of reserve and shock gets full travel on hucks like that. Problem is there's roots, rocks and holes everywhere. Just got unlucky landing in a hold and then lining up the ring with the tree root when the suspension was compressed. That's a lot of travel to case something so hard.. Just sucks then really.Yeah, real crappy landing as you can see above. Fork still had plenty of reserve and shock gets full travel on hucks like that. Yeah, here's the vid. Looks pretty innocuous.Just sucks then really.
Mentioned on the 16th Feb.Funny stuff, but unfortunately may be necessary!
My vote is for the raw (orange only available in XL), my kid also has the raw Ramones and it looks mint.
Put a chain guide/bash on it and she's done.

Remember it's much easier to beg for forgiveness rather than ask permission.
Really?! hahaha And yep, Bunnings. Has a history of munching bike parts!Mentioned on the 16th Feb.
Bunnings?
Video always dumbs things down though.... I'm quite sure it was 10X more hardcore!
