Bargain buys thread

Good to know. But, you wear pads bikepacking?!
Yep we did the Old Ghost Road in NZ on enduro bikes. It is an old mining route that is mostly shale rock and has crazy exposure in some areas, and rocky/technical descents in many areas.

Found some pics of the pads in action!

There is not such thing. At best gravel is home brand rum (the nasty shit that tastes like nail polish remover) that you have poured out of a used ash tray using a strangers fork to try and filter out the cigarette discards from the ash tray. Gravel is garbage
Ok

Could be a bit of fun for someone
Something is just a bit suss about that seller. It's just a hunch, but I get feeling that he runs some sort of stolen bicycle chop shop.
Awhile ago he was selling 3 asx dropper post without chargers!
He seems to sell a hell of lot of parts for a just "hobbyists."

But I could be wrong too.

He bought a mates bike not long ago.. buys cheap, sells for significant mark up, or parts out. He made no secret telling my mate he intends to flip his bike.

that explains the weird collection of parts. A bunch of stuff he curated into a complete bike to sell after he took the best bits for something else.

Cyclinic 15% off from tomorrow...

come to think of it.. was exactly this time last year i bought a few things from them.... couple of days before BF deals 🤣
Awesome. I can buy a 27.5 coil fork I may not use, for a 27.5 frame I might never buy 🤪
Or...
I could get a coil conversion kit and spring for a 29er Marz air fork. It's been sitting in the store cart for a bit, so a few bucks off makes it tempting.

Rushes down, grabs Vernier's, measures 2 x hardtails that get ridden very rarely and have had their droppers repurposed, both 31.6 😔
I used a 30.9 KS LEV dropper & a shim on a Banshee seat tube that is 31.6mm with no issues. It's a proper shim, not a home-brew one. Can't remember the brand. Could have been Cane Creek or Problem Solvers.
