Newly Released Bikes General

Orange seem to have got their filing in order and have now released their 2025 file storage systems

EDIT: *Flame suit on* I actually don't mind the look of their phase light moped

Clicked for the comments and wasn't disappointed...

Why only mullets for Aus?
Mullets are scientific faster in hairstyle so I guess the bike is the same:
This is based on actual research conducted in 1999. According to Outside magazine, scientists at Rome’s Università degli Biondi stuck cyclist Mario Cipollini in a wind tunnel and stuck different wigs on him to test which style provided the least wind resistance. Of the seven hairdos — bald, mohawk, fauxhawk, mullet, fade, and “Coolio” (remember this was the ’90s) — the mullet was the undisputed winner, shaving (ha) almost 10 seconds off Cipollini’s calculated time compared to the second-place bald-headed style.

The new Lapierre Zesty looks nice!

The new Lapierre Spicy can be converted from a high pivot to a regular four bar Horst link in just a few simple steps.

Comes with 27.5 rear wheel and cable tourism as standard but comes with the hardware (except the wheel) to fit a 29er, and you can switch to standard cable routing, presumably as an LBS request.

I wonder if they'll be any more durable than other Lapierres? My riding group's experience rates Lapierre below Crank Brothers for reliability and quality of construction.

About to post that. Many years ago rode with a few blokes that a LaPierres whilst they didn’t break the QA was bad, rear axle widths out of whack, lots of creaks and groans that no matter what wouldn’t stop. Nice looking bike though.

Yeah a decade or so ago one of my mates picked up one of the Spicy Teams with the Martini racing aping livery and lots of French electrics attempting to control suspension movement.

Possibly one of the best looking bikes ever made. Possibly also one of the most aggravating pieces of shit to exist owing to the amount of issues it had (insert French stereotype here). Such a pity as when it worked it was beyond awesome, and to be fair (after several months and 9000 warranty claims) once they gutted the original EI system and all its wiring and replaced it with the V2 set up it worked a lot better, but still had a multitude of other problems that are probably best defined as 'character.'

New one looks awesome but.
